In Azerbaijan, in 2025, organs obtained from approximately 10 cadaveric donors were used for transplantation purposes.
Modern.az reports that information on this matter was provided by the Coordination Center for Organ Donation and Transplantation of the Ministry of Health.
It was stated that more than 50 transplantation operations were performed from the aforementioned cadaveric donors. Of these, more than one was a kidney transplant, approximately 10 liver transplants, more than two corneal transplants, and two heart transplants were carried out.
Most of the operations were successfully completed.( "Report")
