In 2025, the number of overnight stays in hotels and hotel-type establishments increased by 6.7 percent compared to 2024, reaching 4 million 569.5 thousand.

It was reported that 58.9 percent of the total number of overnight stays were recorded in Baku, 5.6 percent in Gusar, 5.1 percent in Naftalan, 5.0 percent in Khachmaz, 3.7 percent in Gabala, 3.2 percent in Guba, 3.0 percent in Lankaran, 2.2 percent in Shabran, 1.5 percent in Shamakhi, 1.2 percent in Ganja, 1.1 percent in Shusha, 1.1 percent in Masally, 1.1 percent in Gakh, 0.9 percent in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and 6.4 percent in hotels and hotel-type establishments in other cities and regions.
Additionally, the number of overnight stays by citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan in hotels increased by 1.1 percent compared to 2024, reaching 1 million 955.2 thousand, which constitutes 42.8 percent of the total overnight stays.
In 2025, the revenues of hotels and hotel-type establishments decreased by 5.9 percent compared to 2024, amounting to 653.0 million manats. 61.8 percent of the revenues were obtained from services for providing rooms, 27.2 percent from public catering services, 2.9 percent from medical and health services, and 8.1 percent from the provision of other services.
It should be noted that in 2025, the utilization rate of the one-time capacity of hotels and hotel-type establishments nationwide was 24.4 percent (24.0 percent in 2024). This indicator was 48.5 percent in Naftalan, 41.7 percent in Shabran, 36.9 percent in Baku, 31.7 percent in Gusar, 27.7 percent in Sabirabad, 23.3 percent in Lankaran, 21.5 percent in Gabala, 20.5 percent in Shamakhi, 19.5 percent in Barda, 16.6 percent in Guba, 15.7 percent in Beylagan, 15.6 percent in Aghdam, 15.5 percent in Gakh, 15.3 percent in Masally, and below 15.3 percent in other cities and regions.
