The number of overnight stays by foreigners and stateless persons in hotels increased by 11.3 percent compared to 2024, reaching 2 million 614.3 thousand.
Modern.az reports, citing the State Statistical Committee, that this indicator constitutes 57.2 percent of the total overnight stays.
Of the total number of overnight stays, 13.6 percent accounted for citizens of India, 10.1 percent for the Russian Federation, 9.3 percent for Turkey, 8.3 percent for Saudi Arabia, 5.6 percent for Israel, 5.1 percent for the United Arab Emirates, 3.9 percent for Pakistan, 3.4 percent for China, 3.3 percent for Uzbekistan, 3.2 percent for the USA, 2.8 percent for Kazakhstan, 2.4 percent for Kuwait, 2.2 percent for Great Britain, 1.3 percent for Germany, 1.0 percent for Italy, and 24.5 percent for citizens of other countries.
Additionally, of the overnight stays by foreigners and stateless persons, 81.1 percent were recorded in Baku, 6.1 percent in Gusar, 4.4 percent in Naftalan, 3.2 percent in Gabala, 2.4 percent in Guba, 0.7 percent in Shamakhi, and 2.1 percent in hotels in other cities and regions.
