Design work is being carried out regarding the implementation of a tram from Mehdiabad to the "28 May" metro station.
Modern.az reports that Anar Rzayev, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency, stated this during his speech at a round table dedicated to the implementation of the "State Program for the Improvement of Transport Infrastructure in Baku and Surrounding Areas for 2025–2030" for the past year.
He stated that work has been done regarding the restoration of the tram line:
"The preliminary technical and economic feasibility study document for the implementation of a tram from Mehdiabad settlement to the "28 May" metro station is already ready, and design work is being carried out. Considering that the tram line will pass through, the form of the road's cross-section within "Sea Breeze" along the route has also been agreed upon." (APA)
