"Despite Nicolás Maduro and his wife being taken to the US, all our affairs, both domestic and foreign, remain in place in accordance with our constitution."
This was stated by Mr. Christopher Alberto Martinez, Venezuela's Ambassador to Azerbaijan, in a statement to Modern.az.
The Ambassador added that they continue their activities in accordance with the 2026 plan. The diplomat, stating that they received support from over 120 countries regarding the events, listed Russia, Belarus, Iran, Turkey, and China among the first countries to provide support.
Christopher Alberto Martinez also answered a question regarding Venezuelans currently residing in Azerbaijan.
"18 Venezuelan citizens live in Azerbaijan. All of them work in private companies. The majority of them work in oil companies. Oil-related education in Venezuela is at a high level. Highly qualified personnel emerge from Venezuela," he said.
