Regarding criminal cases where preliminary investigations were conducted and completed by prosecutor's offices, it was determined that a total material damage of 94 million 817 thousand manats was inflicted last year, and through investigative measures, 32 million 635 thousand manats of this amount were successfully recovered, and assets exceeding 82 million 400 thousand manats were seized.
Modern.az reports that, this information was provided on January 28, under the leadership of Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, at an expanded board meeting dedicated to discussing the status of work carried out by the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2025 across all areas of activity within the legal authority of prosecutor's offices, and the tasks ahead.
It was stated that, in accordance with the requirements of criminal procedural legislation, an additional 5 million 172 thousand manats were paid to the state budget by individuals acquitted of criminal liability in criminal cases whose proceedings were terminated, with 4 million 855 thousand manats of this amount pertaining to cases investigated by prosecutor's offices.
