Considering the high interest in the partner events to be organized within the framework of the Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will be held in Baku on May 17-22 this year, the registration period has been extended.
Modern.az reports that February 3 has been set as the deadline for accepting applications.
WUF13, an international dialogue and cooperation platform in the field of urban planning, provides institutions and organizations with the opportunity to organize events in line with the Forum's theme "Housing for All: Safe and Sustainable Cities and Human Settlements". Applications must be submitted via //events.unhabitat.org/.
Applications for organizing events are accepted under seven categories: Networking (Networking), One UN (One UN), Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs in Action), Urban Cinema (Urban Cinema), Urban Library (Urban Library), Voices from Cities (Voices from Cities), and WUF Academy (WUF Academy).
Applying institutions and organizations must register online in the initial stage via the "UN-Habitat" Global Event Management System (GEMS) platform.
After the registration process is completed, users can access the "Applications / Müraciətlər" section in their personal panel to familiarize themselves with the requirements for the respective categories and finalize their applications.
It should be noted that only one application can be submitted per category.
Partner events, as one of the Forum's main and strategic mechanisms, create conditions for the international presentation of advanced practices, innovative approaches, and practical solutions in the field of sustainable urban development. Through these events, participants gain the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience in urban planning, establish institutional collaborations, and contribute to the global urban agenda.
