On February 3, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan observed the joint operational-tactical exercise “Peace Shield – 2026” held in Abu Dhabi with the participation of military personnel from the armed forces of the two countries.
Modern.az reports that during the joint exercise conducted in residential areas, mountainous terrain, and maritime environments, tasks were performed related to the detection and neutralization of illegal armed groups, restoration of control over captured vessels, neutralization of terrorist elements and liberation of hostages, evacuation of the wounded, prevention of riot and sabotage activities posing a threat to public security in residential areas, as well as firefighting activities.
