Aliyev and Pashinyan on these issues reached an agreement

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan on February 4 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Modern.az reports that the parties welcomed the progress made towards the implementation of the outcomes of the Washington Peace Summit, hosted and witnessed by US President Donald Trump. They noted the importance of maintaining positive dynamics in advancing the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan on a bilateral basis.

The parties noted that both societies have witnessed the benefits of peace in real life. They expressed satisfaction with the commencement of bilateral trade and the continued export of oil products from Azerbaijan to Armenia, as well as the transit of grain and other goods from third countries to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory. The parties agreed to continue exploring opportunities to expand bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

They also welcomed mutual visits by civil society representatives and agreed on the necessity of expanding confidence-building measures.

President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed the implementation of TRIPP and other connectivity projects.

The President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia reaffirmed their readiness to continue efforts towards further strengthening peace and stability between the two countries and agreed to maintain contacts to support the bilateral normalization process.
