Snowfall and icy roads are expected in Azerbaijan on February 5.
Modern.az reports that the National Hydrometeorology Service has issued information regarding this.
In Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be variably cloudy, occasionally overcast, and mostly rainless. However, there is a possibility of precipitation and snowfall in some areas during the night and evening transitioning from the 4th to the 5th. The occasionally strengthening northwest wind will be replaced by a northeast wind during the day.
The air temperature will be from 2 degrees below zero to 1 degree above zero at night, and 2-4 degrees above zero during the day. Atmospheric pressure will rise from 767 mm of mercury to 770 mm of mercury. Relative humidity will be 70-80%.
Icy roads are expected in some suburban areas during the night and morning hours.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, occasional precipitation and snowfall are expected in some areas. There is a possibility of intense precipitation in isolated places. Precipitation will gradually cease in the morning, and the day will be mostly rainless. Occasional fog will occur in some areas. A moderate west wind will blow.
The air temperature will be 1-5 degrees above zero at night, 5-9 degrees above zero during the day; in the mountains, 3-8 degrees below zero at night, 8-13 degrees below zero in high mountainous areas, and 0-3 degrees below zero during the day.
Roads will be icy mainly in mountainous and foothill regions.
