With the new increase, the average monthly pension and the average monthly pension based on age reach 593 manats and 632 manats, respectively.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Rashad Mustafayev, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, at a briefing held for media representatives.
According to him, in 2018-2025, the average monthly pension increased from 208 manats to 543 manats, and the average monthly pension based on age increased from 234 manats to 578 manats:
"With the new increase, the average monthly pension and the average monthly pension based on age reach 593 manats and 632 manats, respectively. This means that compared to 2018, an increase of 2.8 times in the average monthly pension and 2.7 times in the average monthly pension based on age has been achieved."
R. Mustafayev added that the funds allocated for the financing of pensions this year are projected at 7 billion 993 million manats, which indicates a 2.3-fold increase in these funds compared to 2018.
The Deputy Minister also noted that with the new Decree, pension capitals recorded in the individual accounts of insured persons until January 1, 2026, have been increased by 5.6 percent in accordance with last year's level of the consumer price index.
It should be noted that with President Ilham Aliyev's new Decree "On the Indexation of Labor Pensions," pensions are increased by 9.3 percent through indexation from January 1 of this year, in accordance with the annual growth indicator of the average monthly salary for 2025.
