Rəşad Sahil oğlu İsmayılov has been appointed Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Rəşad İsmayılov was born on August 27, 1979. He studied at Baku State University, earning bachelor's and master's degrees in “Law”.
He began his professional career in 2000 as a lawyer at the “Zəhmət” small enterprise. From 2005 to 2006, he worked as a lawyer at “Star LTD” LLC, in 2006, as a lawyer-specialist at the Ganja City Audit Organization of the Chamber of Auditors of the Republic of Azerbaijan, from 2006 to 2009, as a legal advisor, then senior legal advisor, in the Legal Department of the Baku City Territorial Office of the State Service for Registration of Real Estate of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and in 2009, as a senior legal advisor in the Legal Department of the Baku City Territorial Office of the State Service for Registration of Real Estate under the State Committee for Property Issues of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
From 2010 to 2012, he was a lawyer in the Housing, Communal, and Repair Service of the “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve Department under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, from 2012 to 2013, Chief Advisor of the Legal Expertise Sector of the Legal and Organizational Support Department of the “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve Department under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, from 2013 to 2016, Head of the Legal Expertise Sector of Legal and Organizational Support, and from 2016 to 2018, Deputy Head, then Head of the Legal and Control Department of the Housing Construction Agency under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
From 2018 to 2019, he served as Head of the Legal and Internal Control Department of the Apparatus of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and from 2019 to 2024, as Head of the Apparatus at the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
From August 15, 2024, until today, he has been appointed First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
