This year, Ramadan Bayram will fall on March 20-21 (Friday and Saturday). These dates are also considered Novruz Bayram days.
Modern.az reminds that, according to the Decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev last month, a national day of mourning and a voting day coinciding with the period of annual leave will not be considered and paid as leave days, however, the duration of the leave will be extended by the number of these days.
Non-working holiday days coinciding with the period of annual leave are not included in the calendar days of leave and are not paid.
In this case, when Gurban and Ramadan Bayrams coincide with another non-working holiday, and this situation coincides with the period of annual leave, the overlapping days will be counted as one day.
Since the upcoming Novruz and Ramadan Bayrams are celebrated on the same days, March 21-27 and 30 will be considered non-working days. Individuals taking leave on these dates will have their leave extended by 8 days.
