Last year, 2723 people changed their name, surname, or patronymic.
This was reported by the Ministry of Justice in response to an inquiry from Modern.az.
However, in 2026, the number of people who changed their name, surname, and patronymic has already exceeded 200.
Specifically, in January of the current year, the change of surname, name, or patronymic for 216 people was registered by the Ministry.
