President Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order regarding the call-up of Azerbaijani citizens for fixed-term active military service from April 1 to 30, 2026, and the discharge of military personnel serving fixed-term active military service into the reserve.
Modern.az reports that, according to the order, Azerbaijani citizens born in 2008 and who have reached the age of 18 by the day of call-up (including that day), as well as those born between 1996 and 2007, who are under 30 years of age, who have not served fixed-term active military service in the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, who do not have the right to deferment from call-up for fixed-term active military service or who have not been exempted from call-up for fixed-term active military service, will be called up for fixed-term active military service from April 1 to 30, 2026.
Also, military personnel serving fixed-term active military service who have completed the service period stipulated in Article 38.1.1 of the Law "On Military Duty and Military Service" will be discharged into the reserve from April 1 to 30, 2026.
