In the modern era, digital transformation not only shapes technological innovations but also new behavioral models in the virtual environment. Recently, public figures, active members of civil society, and relevant state structures have widely promoted the importance of demonstrating adherence to accepted rules of coexistence and ethical conduct standards in internet information resources. However, it must be noted with regret that there is still a certain group of individuals who disregard these systematic calls, openly display disrespect towards society, and target our system of national and moral values. Such activities, which pollute the internet information space with worthless and morally objectionable shares and broadcasts, pose a serious threat to the moral health of the public, which is protected by the state.
Modern.az reports that this is stated in the information disseminated by the Prosecutor General's Office.
It was noted that, in particular, instances that undermine the sanctity of the family institution, circulate distorted images of intra-family relations, and display a manner of expression incompatible with normal communication ethics provoke a strong legal reaction:
"To prevent these negative acts, specific regulatory mechanisms have been established in the legislative framework. Thus, according to Article 510.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan, when publicly displayed in an internet information resource or information-telecommunication network:
- committing acts that insult public morality and openly express disrespect towards society;
- uttering immoral expressions or making gestures that create such an impression;
- displaying parts of the human p in a manner contrary to moral norms and national-moral values creates serious administrative liability.
Within the framework of legal measures implemented by the Department for Non-Criminal Prosecution Proceedings of the Prosecutor General's Office, 6 individuals who committed acts insulting morality in violation of the requirements of the aforementioned article were identified and brought to administrative responsibility. As a result of the legal proceedings, administrative arrest was applied to 4 of them, and administrative fines were applied to 2 of them by the relevant courts.
Considering the above, the Prosecutor General's Office appeals to our citizens and reiterates that the virtual space is not an unregulated or uncontrolled zone. Therefore, we urge our citizens, especially social network users, to refrain from such negative behaviors and to strictly adhere to ethical norms and legal requirements when using internet resources.
Remember that everyone bears legal responsibility for the calls they make and the content they share in the digital environment. Serious measures will continue to be taken against every unlawful act targeting our national morality".
