On February 24, 2026, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov participated in and delivered a speech at an iftar event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the ambassadors of Muslim countries accredited in Azerbaijan.

It was stated that Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in his speech, conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, and wished peace and tranquility for our country and the world.
It was emphasized that this holy month, which unites the Islamic world, instills high moral values.
The special place and role of the religion of Islam and the month of Ramadan in the national and moral values of Azerbaijani society, including in the experience of peaceful coexistence of representatives of various communities, was discussed.
It was recalled that Azerbaijan, as a country located at the crossroads of civilizations and cultures, promotes multiculturalism and interreligious harmony as key pillars of its state policy at the international level.
However, it was brought to attention that discrimination against the religion of Islam, Islamophobic tendencies in a number of countries, and the instability arising from conflicts in the Muslim world cause concern. The importance of unity and solidarity in the Islamic world in combating such challenges was emphasized.
The speech also drew attention to the situation in the Middle East, particularly the ongoing humanitarian crises in Gaza, and the importance of a peaceful resolution to the conflict was noted.
Subsequently, Adil Embarsh, the doyen of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to our country, delivered a speech and conveyed his congratulations on the occasion of the month of Ramadan.
Finally, an iftar prayer was recited by Jeyhun Rustamov, Deputy Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, and an iftar table was set for the event participants.
