On February 24, Leyla Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva visited Guba district.
Modern.az reports that within the framework of the visit, Leyla Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva visited a boarding-type general education school and a STEAM center in Guba city.
First, the general-purpose boarding-type general education school in Guba city was visited. It was reported that 114 schoolchildren, including 79 boys and 35 girls, are educated there. Leyla Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva familiarized themselves with the conditions created at the boarding school, had a sincere conversation with the children, observed their activity processes, took photos, and presented school supplies to the students. A cultural program prepared by the students was presented at the school; poems were recited, and songs were performed.
Subsequently, the Guba STEAM center was visited. During the familiarization with the center, it was recalled that the widespread implementation of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) project in Azerbaijani schools began in 2019 at the initiative of First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva. It was noted that the STEAM center has been operating in Guba since 2021 and is intended for all age groups. Leyla Aliyeva and Alena Aliyeva closely familiarized themselves with the conditions created at the center, had a sincere conversation with the students, and showed interest in the practical application of the knowledge and skills they acquired there.
Finally, commemorative photos were taken with the children and the school staff.
