Changes have been made to the Compulsory Medical Insurance Services Package.
Modern.az reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a decision regarding this.
According to the decision, the conditions for providing medical services to arrested persons, persons serving sentences of deprivation of liberty for a certain period and life imprisonment (excluding settlement-type correctional facilities) have been determined. Medical services are provided to arrested persons, persons serving sentences of deprivation of liberty for a certain period and life imprisonment (excluding settlement-type correctional facilities) under the following conditions:
-the absence of necessary medical equipment and/or personnel in the relevant field for the provision of the respective medical service by the Main Medical Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
-the number of arrested persons, persons serving sentences of deprivation of liberty for a certain period and life imprisonment (excluding settlement-type correctional facilities) to whom medical services are provided within one budget year not exceeding 1500;
-insurance payments made from the funds of the compulsory medical insurance fund within one budget year, taking into account this Document, not exceeding 200,000 manats. During the provision of medical services to arrested persons, persons serving sentences of deprivation of liberty for a certain period and life imprisonment (excluding settlement-type correctional facilities), security measures are ensured by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
