Modern.az reports that these words were spoken by President Ilham Aliyev during a meeting with representatives of the Khojaly district community.
"Military personnel from foreign countries are temporarily stationed on our land with our permission. If anyone thinks that this will deter us from something, they are mistaken. We had repeatedly sent messages to the Armenian side that separatism must end, the illegal junta regime must cease its activities, and Armenians living in Karabakh must accept Azerbaijani citizenship. We had stated this repeatedly. We even presented a reintegration program via the internet, but we did not receive an adequate response. On the contrary, the separatists and the forces behind them became even more emboldened. From the Victory of 2020 until the anti-terror operation of 2023, representatives of foreign states had repeatedly come here illegally. At today's ceremony, I do not even want to mention the names of those countries. Recommendations were given, weapons were sent, mines were sent to encourage the separatists, to incite them against us again, and to disregard the Azerbaijani state and its statehood. They believed that the contingent of a foreign state stationed here would deter us from something. It could not deter us from anything, and the anti-terror operation that lasted for several hours demonstrated this to the whole world. Anyone who opposes our will will be crushed", - President Ilham Aliyev noted.
