Another phase of major repair and reconstruction works in the dead-end track of the “Hazi Aslanov” station, which is one of the important projects aimed at renewing infrastructure and increasing safety standards by “Baku Metro” CJSC, a company of AZCON Holding, has been completed.
According to information provided by the CJSC to Modern.az, a media tour was organized to the area regarding the major repair and reconstruction works carried out on the dead-end track. Media representatives familiarized themselves with the ongoing works on-site and were thoroughly informed about the measures being implemented.
It was stated that dead-end tracks are a multifunctional infrastructure area that ensures flexible management of trains, their movement at short intervals, and technical maintenance. In previous phases, temporary metal structures were installed on these tracks for demolition and preparation for works.
Major repair works in an area of approximately 280 meters were organized in 3 parts, and repairs have been completed in a section of approximately 210 meters.
Within the scope of the works carried out, grouting has been completed along the entire area on the side walls and floor, and preparatory measures are being taken for the application of special paint materials. In the ceiling section, grouting has largely been completed with insulation works being carried out. In accordance with the plan, insulation will be performed with modern carbon fiber construction material to further strengthen the slab.
The part of the partition walls of the middle tracks that fell within the first two phases of repair has been rebuilt. In the last section, demolition and construction works are being carried out.
In addition to the aforementioned, the construction of infrastructure has also begun. Currently, drainage lines are being laid in parallel. The installation of communication lines along the track infrastructure and walls will commence in April.
Here, the dead-end tracks and track-changing devices will be reconstructed on modern reinforced concrete foundations, and electricity supply, communication, signaling, video surveillance, fire safety, and other important systems will be fully modernized. The works are planned to be completed by the end of the current year.
