Currently, in the districts of Qazax, Ağstafa, Tovuz, Şəmkir, Samux, Gədəbəy, Göygöl, Tərtər, Ağdaş, Göyçay, Ucar, Zərdab, Kürdəmir, İmişli, Saatlı, Sabirabad, Biləsuvar, Qobustan, Siyəzən, Şabran, Quba, Qusar, İsmayıllı, Ağsu, Füzuli, Ağcabədi, Qax, as well as in the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, funeral ceremonies are held in a simple manner, and this process continues in other regions of our republic.
Regarding this, information was provided by the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations in response to an inquiry from Modern.az.
“The purpose of simplifying the rules for holding funeral ceremonies in the Republic of Azerbaijan is their organization in accordance with Islamic rules, as well as the prevention of extravagance observed during ceremonies. Initiatives put forward in this direction by intellectuals, elders, religious figures, and public representatives in various cities and regions of our republic have been formed as a logical result of long-standing discussions held in our society,” - it was noted in the information.
