A telephone conversation took place between Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and his French counterpart Jean-Noël Barrot.

During the telephone conversation, the parties discussed the current tense security situation and the escalating military escalation in the Middle East region.
The ministers noted that a further exacerbation of the situation in the region poses serious risks to regional and international security, and emphasized the importance of resuming diplomatic efforts and dialogue.
The French minister expressed gratitude for the support provided by Azerbaijan in the process of evacuating French citizens from Iran under the complex circumstances that have arisen, and noted the importance of cooperation in this direction.
The parties exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and France and future cooperation opportunities. Following the Copenhagen meeting of the presidents of the two countries, the importance of continuing dialogue in areas of mutual interest was emphasized.
The ministers also exchanged views on other regional security issues of mutual interest.
