In connection with the Novruz holiday, the "Agrarian Procurement and Supply" OJSC, operating under the Ministry of Agriculture, will organize a "From Village to City" Novruz fair at 12 locations.
Modern.az reports that the main purpose of organizing the fairs, which will continue uninterrupted for 11 days, is to support local farmers' access to the market with their products during the holiday, and at the same time, to ensure urban residents' access to natural, local, and healthy agricultural products.
At the fairs, 147 farmers from 25 regions will participate and sell 150 varieties of agricultural and food products. To control the quality of products offered for sale, the Mobile Food Laboratory of the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency will operate daily at the fair. Citizens can benefit from the laboratory's services to learn about the quality indicators of any product offered for sale at the fair.
The fair will operate from 9:00 to 19:00 at the address Narimanov district, Fatali Khan Khoyski street, 5 (next to "Ganjlik" metro station), as well as at a total of 12 locations.
Thus, from March 13-17, fairs will be organized in various areas of the capital - near the "Ahmadli", "Neftchilar", "Nariman Narimanov", "Elmlar Akademiyasi" and "Azadlig" metro stations, as well as in the "Garant" Residential Complex in Mehdiabad settlement, Absheron district. At the same time, the organization of Novruz fairs is planned in the cities of Sumgayit, Khankendi, and Aghdash (in the new market area in Aghdash city).
