On March 5, around noon, drone attacks were carried out against the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

"One drone fell on the terminal building of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Airport, and another drone fell near the school building in Shakarabad village.
We strongly condemn these drone attacks carried out from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which resulted in damage to the Airport building and injuries to two civilians.
This attack on the territory of Azerbaijan contradicts the norms and principles of international law and serves to increase tension in the region.
We demand that the Islamic Republic of Iran clarify the aforementioned issue, provide an explanation for it, and take necessary urgent measures to prevent such incidents from recurring in the future.
The Azerbaijani side reserves the right to take appropriate retaliatory measures.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mojtaba Darmichilou, has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A strong protest will be conveyed to the Iranian side, and a corresponding note of protest will be submitted", the statement said.
