The statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran that Iran respects the sovereignty of all countries, especially Muslim and neighboring countries, and its denial of today's drone attacks against Azerbaijan by Iran in this regard, cannot be considered acceptable under any circumstances.

According to the information, it has been established by technical means that four unmanned aerial vehicles were directed by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan region to carry out attack acts, one of them was neutralized by the Azerbaijani army, while the others targeted civilian infrastructure, including a secondary school building during school hours. The unmanned aerial vehicle targeting the secondary school building fortunately did not reach its target, crashing and exploding near the school.
“Considering the aforementioned, we expect the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran to cease overt denial, express an apology for the incident, and for the perpetrators to be punished by the relevant Iranian authorities,” the statement noted. ()
