Iranian citizens will not be able to return to their homeland from Georgia via Azerbaijan.

Modern.az reports that Iran's embassy in Tbilisi has issued a statement regarding this.

The Azerbaijani embassy in Tbilisi stated that at least ten days are required for obtaining the relevant permit. "Therefore, this route is not possible," the statement said.

The diplomatic mission notes that Iranian citizens can return to their homeland via Armenia and Turkey.
