One-on-one and expanded meetings were held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, Mihai Popșoi.
Modern.az reports that the ministers discussed ways to continue and expand bilateral political dialogue, further develop cooperation in economic, energy, transport, and humanitarian fields, as well as coordinate joint activities within international organizations, including the United Nations and the OSCE.
The ministers also touched upon the tense and volatile security situation emerging in the Middle East.
J. Bayramov expressed serious concern regarding the drone attacks carried out by Iran on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan on March 5. He brought to the guest's attention that the attack resulted in damage to civilian infrastructure facilities, including the airport and a school building, and injuries to civilians.
The minister also informed his Moldovan counterpart about the ongoing normalization and peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
