Sometimes a person's age is measured not by the length of their life's journey, but by how many hearts they have touched along the way. Rövşən Əliyev, whom I am speaking about, is precisely one of those people. The 60 years he has lived are not merely a unit of time – they are an accumulated moral burden of kindness, trust, loyalty, and humanism.
Brief introduction: Aliyev Rovshan Alipasha oglu was born on March 7, 1966, in Baku, into an intellectual family. He studied at Secondary School No. 53 in Baku from 1973 to 1983. In 1983, he was admitted to the Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute and graduated in 1991. During his second year, he was called up for military service, serving in the USSR Armed Forces from 1985 to 1987. Since 2002, he has been working at AzQAC. He has held positions such as Press Secretary, Advisor to the President of AzQAC, and Head of the Apparatus. Currently, he holds the responsible position of Vice-President. He is a laureate of the "Golden Pen” media award. He is the author of many articles and the editor of several books. For his effective activity in the humanitarian field, in 2015, based on the recommendation of Novruz Aslanov, President of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society and Member of Parliament, he was awarded the “Taraggi” (Progress) Medal by the relevant order of the country's President Ilham Aliyev. This is a clear example of the appreciation given to Rövşən Əliyev's effective work by both the republic and the leadership of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society.
At this point, I would like to make a digression: Rövşən muallim's father, Alipasha Aliyev, was a professor at the philosophy department of the Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute (now Technical University) for many years.
As Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society, Rövşən muallim is at the forefront of public activity. However, it is not only his position that distinguishes him. Everyone who knows him is well aware that for Rövşən Əliyev, position has never been superior to humanity. He is one of those who understands those in need not by their rank or status, but simply because they are human.
Magnanimity is the main trait of his character. This magnanimity is not noisy, nor is it ostentatious. It is such a magnanimity that a person feels comfortable in his presence and understands their worth. Sometimes with a glance, sometimes with a word, he instills confidence in the person before him.
Family upbringing and genetic memory play a significant role in Rövşən muallim's personality. Being the son of a professor and philosopher father is not just a source of pride, but also a responsibility. This responsibility is clearly felt in Rövşən Əliyev's way of thinking, behavior, and approach to people. There is depth in his conversation, but this depth is not heavy; on the contrary, it gives one the pleasure of contemplation.
Another characteristic that makes him different is the value he places on friendship. Rövşən Əliyev is a good friend - reliable, loyal, one who speaks up in difficult times, and knows how to stay in the background in good times. For him, friendship is not just a form of relationship, but a life stance. That is why he has many friends around him, and these friendships have stood the test of time.
His friendliness comes from his nature. He is able to approach a newly acquainted person as an old friend. His sincerity is not artificial, not learned - it comes from within. Perhaps that is why communication with him does not tire people; on the contrary, it inspires them.
The main aspect that attracts attention in Rövşən Əliyev's personality is his inner culture. This culture is not accidental. The scientific and moral heritage of an intellectual father is clearly felt in his worldview, outlook on life, and attitude towards people. He inherited from his father not only knowledge but also the ability to think, responsibility, and conscience. For him, intellectuality is not just knowledge, but behavior, attitude, and a stance.
Everyone who knows him knows that for Rövşən muallim, the human factor is paramount. Kindness is an integral part of his character. This kindness is not for show, but is lived as a natural need. Listening to those in need, being by the side of those in difficult situations, silently extending a helping hand - these are the ordinary, yet valuable, moments of his daily life.
Rövşən Əliyev is a good leader. Because he does not manage people; he guides them. He trusts the people around him, values their opinions, and is able to see potential in everyone.
Rövşən Əliyev is an intellectual, but this intellectuality is manifested not in words spoken from a tribune, but in the simplicity of daily behavior, in the sincerity that shortens the distance between people. When he speaks, he does not raise his voice, but his thoughts are heard. When making decisions, he is not harsh, but his stance is firm. Because his support is not his position, but his conscience.
His activity at AzQAC is a natural continuation of his character. For him, aid is not measured by numbers: the hope that arises in a person's eyes, the trust that returns to a family's heart, are more valuable. He does not want to be seen when helping, but it is felt. That is why people believe in him.
Rövşən muallim has stepped towards people, not himself. Today, when his name is mentioned, respect is recalled alongside his position.
60 years... This number is not a calendar indicator, but rather the sum of lived conscience, patience, and kindness. In each of these years, there is a meaningful life... Perhaps this is not a very long life, but it is a significant stage of a life lived to the fullest. Throughout these years, Rövşən Əliyev has earned respect through both his professional activities and his human qualities. His life shows that true prestige is gained not through noise, but through silent goodness, restrained behavior, and a conscientious stance.
On the occasion of his remarkable jubilee, I wish Rövşən Əliyev robust health, a long life, family happiness, and continued success in the benevolent work he undertakes. May his life path continue to radiate hope to people and light to his surroundings, bring hope to those in need, trust to those around him, and silent, yet deep and meaningful, good to society.
Happy 60th jubilee, Rövşən muallim!
