Masoud Pezeshkian stated that the incident involving the aerial shelling of Nakhchivan had no connection with Iran, and emphasized that the incident would be investigated.

It should be recalled that on March 5, an attack was carried out from the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran using 4 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) equipped with remotely controlled explosive warheads against civilian infrastructure objects of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of the Republic of Azerbaijan. As a result of the incident, 4 civilians were injured.
