Former Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Tofiq Zulfugarov made a notable post on his Facebook account regarding Iran-Azerbaijan relations.

Modern.az reports that he commented on the telephone conversation held between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian leader Masoud Pezeshkian.

According to him, the telephone conversation held at the initiative of the Iranian President conveys certain messages in diplomatic language.

"This means that our head of state is the only leader among 12 countries who has politically forced Iran (where the government is in a completely disorganized state) to officially abandon the practice of attacking its neighbor! Checkmate!", - the post states.

It should be recalled that on March 5, drone attacks were carried out on Nakhchivan from Iranian territory, and 4 Azerbaijani citizens were injured. Shortly after official Baku's strong protest, on March 7, President Masoud Pezeshkian, addressing the public, apologized and stated that Iran would no longer attack neighboring countries.
