In accordance with the instructions of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the next evacuation of our citizens remaining in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, cities of the United Arab Emirates, due to the war situation in the Middle East, has been carried out.
Regarding this, information was provided to Modern.az by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Specifically, over the past few days, as a result of the relevant efforts of our Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and our Consulate General in Dubai, the registration of our citizens intending to return to our country has been carried out.
Subsequently, our citizens were transported by special buses provided by our diplomatic missions, with the coordination of our Embassy in Oman, to Oman airport and sent to Azerbaijan by a special flight of Azerbaijan Airlines.
With the aforementioned flight, 195 Azerbaijani citizens, 1 Turkish citizen, and 2 foreign citizens with residence permits in Azerbaijan are returning to our country.
The situation in the region is being closely monitored by us, and the safety of our citizens is among our priority directions.
