Chairman of the Sovereign Transitional Council of the Republic of Sudan, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan Abdelrahman Al-Burhan, addressed a letter to President Ilham Aliyev.
Modern.az reports that the letter states:
"Your Excellency,
We followed with concern the news regarding the targeting of Azerbaijani territory from Iranian territory with unmanned aerial vehicles and the resulting violation of your airspace. This is a clear violation of the principles of international law and the rules of respect for the sovereignty of states.
On behalf of the leadership, government, and people of the Republic of Sudan, we express our full solidarity with the fraternal Republic of Azerbaijan, and state our support for all legitimate steps you take to protect your country's sovereignty, security, and stability.
We pray to Almighty Allah to protect the Republic of Azerbaijan and bestow upon it security and stability.
We convey our highest esteem and respect to Your Excellency".
