Payments to military personnel disabled before 1997 continue. Thus, 1.4 million manats were paid to 222 people in 2025.
According to Modern.az, this was reflected in the report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2025.
The report notes that, pursuant to Decree No. 1513 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated December 23, 2021, one-time payments are made to military personnel, employees of internal affairs bodies, or their heirs, who were determined to be disabled in connection with the defense of the territorial integrity, independence, and constitutional structure of Azerbaijan until August 2, 1997.
In 2025, in this direction, 222 people were assigned and a total of 1.4 million manats was paid.
At the same time, since August 2, 2022, when the one-time payments began, 17,796 people have been assigned (including 2,872 heirs of 1,402 war invalids) and a total of 115 million manats has been paid.
