In the 2025/2026 academic year, the education expenses of approximately 4 thousand students with internally displaced person status, admitted to state higher and secondary specialized educational institutions on a paid basis, were covered by the state. During the reporting period, a new status document – an internally displaced person's ID card – reflecting various concessions and privileges, was issued to more than 16 thousand internally displaced persons.
Modern.az reports that this was reflected in the report on the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers in 2025.
In the 2025/2026 academic year, the total number of students with internally displaced person status newly admitted to state higher and secondary specialized educational institutions on a paid basis, and whose education expenses were covered by the state, was 3,923.
Also, in 2025, a new status document (internally displaced person's ID card) containing various concessions and privileges was issued to 16,600 internally displaced persons.
