The number of passengers transported by rail increased by 20%

In 2025, the volume of cargo transported by rail decreased by 9.4 percent compared to the previous year.

According to Modern.az, this was reflected in the Cabinet of Ministers' report on its activities in 2025.
It was noted that the cargo transported during the year amounted to 16,821,400 tons.

It was also reported that passenger transportation in 2025 increased by 20.4 percent compared to the previous year, reaching 10,207,000 people.
