In the last two years, the allowance for 60,200 internally displaced persons has been cut.
According to information obtained by Modern.az from the reports of the Cabinet of Ministers, in 2023, 447.5 thousand, in 2024, 408.4 thousand, and in 2025, 387.3 thousand people received a monthly allowance as internally displaced persons.
In 2024, among the former internally displaced persons receiving a unified monthly allowance, 50.2 thousand received 33 manats, and 358.2 thousand people received 60 manats. For this purpose, a total of 287.2 million manats (including 919.1 thousand manats in bank charges) was spent from the state budget for internally displaced persons.
In 2025, among the 387.3 thousand former internally displaced persons receiving a unified monthly allowance, 44.8 thousand people receive 33 manats, and 342.5 thousand people receive 60 manats. For this purpose, a total of 286.7 million manats (including 859.9 thousand manats in bank charges) was spent from the state budget for internally displaced persons during the year.
It should be noted that the lists of displaced persons are regularly reviewed by the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons. According to the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, former internally displaced persons, after returning to their ancestral lands, can use the privileges they possess and receive a unified monthly allowance for 3 years.
