Eid al-Fitr is highly likely to fall on March 20.
Modern.az reports that Haji Surkhay Mammadli, a member of the Council of Qadis of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), stated this.
S. Mammadli also announced the recommended amount of zakat al-fitr.
“Zakat al-fitr is recommended at 10-15 manats per person. Generally, zakat al-fitr can also be given in the form of 3 kg of wheat, 3 kg of raisins, 3 kg of dates, and flour products. However, in general, the amount of zakat al-fitr is set at a minimum of 10-15 manats.”
The CMO representative also noted that the Eid prayers will be performed in Baku mosques between 08:00 and 09:00. ("Qafqazinfo")
