In the last two years, 42,100 people divorced, and 98,000 people married.
According to information obtained by Modern.az from the reports of the Cabinet of Ministers, during 2024, 49.5 thousand marriages and 21.4 thousand divorces were registered in the country. In 2025, these figures were recorded as 48.5 thousand for marriages and 20.7 thousand for divorces.
It should be noted that, compared to 2024, the number of marriages per 1000 people decreased from 4.9 to 4.7, and the number of divorces decreased from 2.1 to 2.0.
