Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the delegation led by Baek Juhyeon, Special Representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, the prospects for developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Korea in political, economic, trade, education, high technologies, and other fields were discussed. The parties emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral relations and intensifying mutual visits. At the same time, the importance of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Korea, as well as political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, was noted. It was noted with satisfaction that the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries will be celebrated in 2027.
The large-scale energy and transport projects implemented by our country in the region, and plans for the export of alternative energy were discussed, and an exchange of views took place on Azerbaijan's cooperation with Central Asian countries in these and other directions, including issues of interaction within the C6 format. The importance of developing inter-regional ties, expanding transport and logistics capabilities, and deepening economic partnership was noted.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also informed the other side about the current situation in the region during the post-conflict period and the large-scale restoration and reconstruction work carried out in the liberated territories.
The parties also exchanged views on regional and international security issues, including the current situation in the Middle East. The Korean side expressed its deep gratitude for the support provided for the evacuation of its citizens from Iran through the territory of our country.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
