They attempted to smuggle narcotics in shoes into the detention facility

As a result of operational-search measures, the smuggling of narcotic and psychotropic substances into Investigation Isolator No. 2 was prevented.

This was reported to Modern.az by the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.

It was reported that during the inspection of a parcel brought by a relative to an arrested person, 2.810 grams of dried marijuana and  1.233 grams of methamphetamine  were discovered in two packages hidden by a special method inside a shoe contained within the parcel.

An investigation is underway regarding the fact.
