Within the framework of recent reforms implemented to improve the salary system in public service, the abolition of the bonus mechanism is envisaged.

Modern.az reports that changes related to this have been reflected in the "Law on Public Service" adopted by the Milli Majlis and other legislative acts.

Thus, according to the new approach, bonuses paid from the state budget are completely abolished. This change covers both collective and individual bonuses. Thus, additional incentive payments previously given for the activities of public servants will no longer exist, and the salary system will be formed on a more unified and transparent structure.

According to previous rules, additional funds were allocated annually in the state budget for the rewarding of public servants. The annual amount of these funds was determined to be three times the employee's monthly official salary and was mainly paid in the form of collective bonuses on public holidays, as well as individual bonuses for individuals distinguished in service.

Thus, as a result of the changes made, salaries will be more stable and predictable, creating a basis for public servants' incomes to be formed more on a fixed salary. ("Report")
