Snow is falling in the mountainous regions of Azerbaijan, with snow depth reaching 7 cm in Shahdag and 1 cm in Gryz.
Modern.az reports that this was noted in the information of the National Hydrometeorological Service as of March 18, 10:00 AM.
It was reported that the amount of precipitation was 8 mm in Shabran, 7 mm in Gabala, 6 mm in Zagatala and Saribash (Gakh), 4 mm in Gobustan and Balakan, 2 mm in Astara and Khaltan, and up to 1 mm in Guba, Gusar, Ismayilli, Shamakhi, Sheki, Oghuz, Shabran, Yevlakh, Goychay, Kurdamir, Sabirabad, Naftalan, Yardimli, Bilasuvar, Lankaran, as well as in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula.
On March 17, a northwest wind blew. The maximum wind speed intensified to 18 m/s in Naftalan, 17 m/s in Kalbajar, and 15 m/s in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula.
Fog is observed in Ganja, Naftalan, Shamkir, Saribash (Gakh), Zagatala, Sheki, Shamakhi, Gryz, and Lerik, with visibility limited to 500 meters.
