The work plan prepared for the autumn session of 2025 of the Milli Majlis Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties also included the issue of developing cooperation with a number of international organizations, as well as with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

It should be noted that last year PACE adopted a decision regarding the restriction of the powers of the Azerbaijani delegation. In response to this decision, the Azerbaijani delegation suspended cooperation with PACE indefinitely and left the session hall.

In a statement to Modern.az regarding the issue, Samad Seyidov, Chairman of the Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties, stated that Azerbaijan has not closed the doors for PACE:

"They have shown an unobjective and unfair attitude towards us. If they change their position, become objective towards Azerbaijan, and abandon the resolutions raised against the country, Azerbaijan is always ready to cooperate with them. However, unfortunately, we do not see any initiative from them in this direction. We keep cooperation and doors open with all international organizations. But on one condition - Azerbaijan's national interests must be taken into account".

Samad Seyidov noted that the issues mentioned in the work plan are proposals: "During discussions at the committee meeting,  certain changes can also be made to the work plan".
