The use of animals for mine clearance is being legalized.
According to Modern.az, this issue was reflected in the proposed amendment to the law “On the Animal World” discussed at today's meeting of the Agrarian Policy Committee of the Milli Majlis.
According to the proposed new draft law, the types of use of the animal world are being expanded. The draft establishes the use of animals in mine clearance activities for the purpose of detecting explosive ordnance in accordance with standard operating procedures as a separate type of use in legislation.
According to the amendment, the use of the animal world will be carried out not only in compliance with existing legislation, but also with the requirements of relevant normative legal acts. Thus, the legal basis for the use of animals in the field of mine clearance is more precisely defined.
