Legislation on the inviolability of monuments is being improved.
Modern.az-According to information, this issue is reflected in the draft law on amendments to the Law "On the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments", which was discussed at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis.
According to current legislation, it is prohibited to alter the artistic and aesthetic appearance of monuments, demolish them, and carry out repair, construction, economic, and other works that may pose a threat to them.
According to the draft, the damage or destruction of monuments, their relocation without agreement with the p (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority, as well as the carrying out of construction and installation, restoration, reconstruction, conservation works or landscaping measures that violate their inviolability and pose a threat to them will be prohibited.
The draft law was adopted in the third reading.
