Azerbaijan will carry out the construction of approximately 10 new school buildings and the major renovation of approximately 100 damaged schools with the aim of supporting the restoration of educational infrastructure in Syria.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Milli Majlis deputy Jeyhun Mammadov at today's session of the Milli Majlis. He noted that from the very first day, Azerbaijan showed its fraternal support to Syria, began gas exports, and declared its readiness to participate in the restoration of infrastructure.
“Azerbaijan has always openly expressed its position on the Palestinian issue, opened a representative office, and built a school. Today, as a result of the wise and far-sighted policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev, it is one of the founders of the “Peace Council” which aims to restore Gaza.”
“Today, Azerbaijan is one of the founders of the Peace Council, which has set itself the goal of restoring peace in the world. President Ilham Aliyev's participation in the first meeting of the Peace Council yesterday is of particular importance in this regard. Today, the whole world watches Azerbaijan's historical achievements with admiration. All this has been achieved by Azerbaijan as a result of President Ilham Aliyev's wise policy. No dirty campaign or provocation can harm this policy,” the deputy concluded.
