The registration period for demobilized military personnel is extended.
Modern.az reports that the issue was announced at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Labor and Social Policy.
It was noted that citizens (with the exception of military conscripts specified in Article 4.4 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Military Duty and Military Service") must report to the relevant executive authority within 7 days after being transferred to the reserve to be registered for military service at their place of residence.
According to the current law, this was 3 days.
The proposed amendment also emphasized that military conscripts (with the exception of military conscripts specified in Article 4.4 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Military Duty and Military Service") and draftees, when changing their place of residence for a period longer than 3 months, must deregister from military service at their previous place of residence and register for military service at their new place of residence.
It was stated that the medical certification of citizens in the reserve of the Armed Forces is organized by the relevant executive authority. Military conscripts transferred to the reserve due to illness without having served actual military or alternative service, if deemed fit for actual military service before reaching the age of 30, are returned to the military registration of draftees (with the exception of cases provided for by the relevant laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan) and are called up for fixed-term actual military service according to the general procedure.
The average salaries of individuals included in the medical staff involved in the medical certification of the mentioned citizens are retained at their workplaces.
