Whenever Azerbaijan's geopolitical power in the region has increased, our state has elevated its strategic importance in the international arena, and has successively achieved its national goals, we have simultaneously witnessed a sharp increase in pressure, blackmail, and overt sabotage attempts against our country, its Leader, and family members. This is not new to us; we already possess a political and institutional immunity, formed over years, against such dirty scenarios, orchestrated provocations, and coordinated information attacks.
However, the events of recent days differ significantly from previous ones. This time, the insidious plans of hostile circles against our state have crossed all “red lines”, taking on a more aggressive, more brazen, and more repulsive form.
Why now?
To understand the answer to this question, it is sufficient to look at the facts of just the last month, let alone the last 5 years: Azerbaijan acted as one of the founding members of the “Peace Council”, a new mechanism forming within the global security system; it became a key player in the process of redesigning the geopolitical map of the South Caucasus, as well as its peace and cooperation strategy; it signed the Strategic Partnership Charter with the USA; it ensured that war criminals, led by Ruben Vardanyan, received due punishment before the court; and the country's leader was internationally awarded as a peacebuilder.
This series of successes caused serious alarm in many circles. The geography of discontent is wide, extending from Russia to France, and to certain political circles in the USA. This is because some are trying to exact revenge on us for the sphere of influence they lost in the South Caucasus, others for the political leverage they were deprived of after Trump came to power, and yet another group for the definitively destroyed “Artsakh” project or the closure of dirty financial channels.
It is precisely for this reason that these circles, united in a coordinated anti-Azerbaijan network, launched a campaign of classic slander, blackmail, and information terrorism. International events held in Munich and Washington were chosen as convenient platforms for them.
Emin Huseynov, who was long patronized abroad, taken to Switzerland on the foreign minister's plane with a large amount of tax debt paid to protect him from criminal liability, and cultivated for these days, along with his brother Mehman Huseynov who later joined him, have been activated as executive tools of this dirty scenario. Through their hands, overt, yet in reality targeted and planned dirty campaigns are being carried out against our President and his family, aiming at the pillars of our state.
Seeing that the cheap political show and primitive buffoonery organized by Emin Huseynov against Mr. President and esteemed Mehriban Aliyeva in Munich yielded no results, this network resorted to a more aggressive and repulsive scenario in Washington. As the presidential motorcade approached the hotel premises, a group of individuals, under the guise of “protesters”, attempted to forcibly breach the security perimeter, uttered open insults, and engaged in actions characteristic of an attack on the head of state's vehicle.
Those who prepared this plan knew very well that interference in the protected zone of a head of state in any country in the world is considered a deadly danger and threat, and immediately provokes a harsh reaction. This is an unchangeable international security rule.
The clearest proof of this is an incident that occurred just a few days ago. An individual attempting to enter the protected area of Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida was shot and neutralized on the spot by the US Secret Service. That is, the fact is evident: breaching a security perimeter is one of the most severely suppressed crimes in the world.
Therefore, the incident in Washington was not a spontaneous action, but a premeditated provocation.
It appears that the forces behind this repulsive and deliberate provocation scenario, masked by political slogans, intentionally planned to drag the President's security service personnel into an open confrontation and exploit that confrontation to the maximum extent in the international information space.
It is no coincidence that the moment the provocation occurred, it was simultaneously live-streamed by the Armenian diaspora in the USA, and images related to the incident were served to international media within minutes, becoming part of an information attack. This is a classic hybrid warfare technology: first creating a provocation, then amplifying it with manipulated “human rights” and “security” narratives to turn it into a tool of political pressure.
Furthermore, those who prepared this plan aimed to form a negative opinion about our country, discredit the legitimate security measures of the Azerbaijani state, and provide new “material” for the coordinated information warfare that the anti-Azerbaijan network has been waging for many years.
However, this time too, their insidious plan was exposed as the betrayal and coup d'état plan of the Mehdiyev-Karimli duo, and it resulted in a fiasco. The repulsive scenario of the anti-Azerbaijan network failed. These elements, whose names and surnames are foreign to us, and whose spirit and national identity are alien to our people, once again proved incapable of fulfilling the orders of the centers they sought refuge in.
The public well understands that after the liberation of Azerbaijani territories from occupation and the destruction of the two-century-old nest of Armenian separatism in Karabakh, countries and political circles that perceive this as their geopolitical defeat are also openly concerned about the unbreakable strength of the people-government unity and the growing prestige of our state. They well understand that under the leadership of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has already become a dictating power in the region, and this reality cannot be changed.
Finally, I want to openly remind all mankurts: with the treacherous activities you conduct against this nation and this state, you only deepen the people's hatred and your political failure.
The Azerbaijani people are fully aware of all these games, are not deceived by cheap political shows, and are ready to resolutely protect their state, now as always.
Our President's unshakeable will, the strength of our state, and the “iron fist” poised over the enemy's head are always in place.
