It will be possible to acquire land for state needs during the construction of new airports and aerodromes.
Modern.az reports that the issue is reflected in the draft law “On the Acquisition of Land for State Needs”.
According to the project, the expansion of state-owned airports (aeroports) and (or) aerodromes, or the construction of new airports (aeroports) and (or) aerodromes, will be added to the list of state needs for which land can be acquired.
It has been stated that the necessity arises for the acquisition of municipal and privately owned lands within the framework of implementing the requirements of international aviation organizations regarding airports, improving flight safety, creating (expanding) protected security zones around airports, constructing new runways, and expanding runways.
However, the fact that the acquisition of land for the aforementioned purposes is not reflected in the Law “On the Acquisition of Land for State Needs” creates difficulties in regulating property relations over land and in the prompt execution of expansion and construction works.
Considering the above and that airports are objects of special importance, the legal basis for the acquisition of land for state needs during the expansion of territories of state-owned airports (aeroports) and (or) aerodromes, or the construction of new airports (aeroports) and (or) aerodromes, will be formed.
The draft law will facilitate a more flexible acquisition of land during the construction and expansion of airport territories, and the prompt resolution of disputes arising in this area.
The project was put to a vote and adopted in the third reading.
